Living the high life...

No pictures to share, but it was a fun night for Drew. We signed up for an infant massage class at the hospital; however, no one else signed up for this month's class so it was cancelled. So instead, the instructor called and said that she would be willing to come to our house to do a one-on-one session! It was such a nice offer and tonight was the night. Drew had a personal in-house masseuse tonight! He loved it - he talked and smiled the whole "class". Hopefully it will make for an even better night-night time and some good bonding time too! I love that little boy - yes, even during his 11, 1, 3 and 5am wake-up calls. =)

4 months!

Drew had his 4 month appointment today. He is now 28" long and 19 pounds, 5 ounces. He continues to fall in >97th percentile for height, weight and head diameter. In the words of Dr. Kribbs (yes, that is *really* the name of his pediatrician), "I think yall are going to have a tall boy on your hands".

This has been another big week for Drew, as you can see from the pictures below. First of all, he has all of a sudden mastered reaching and grabbing. He's really starting to build up some hand-eye coordination and it's so fun to watch. Of course, anything that he grabs goes straight to his mouth. Another first was he finally was given the OK to start cereal! Yay for solids! Drew make take a while to warm up to the concept, but hopefully it will keep that belly filled up for longer periods of time.

Raspberries and videos and such

Drew has really seemed to get some new skills this week. He now is actually *jumping* in his Jumperoo - and appears quite proud of himself when he does. He has really started reaching and grabbing for things now. And also, he has started blowing baby spit raspberries. A big week!

Also, I finally learned how to hook the video camera up to be able to put some videos on here! I have quite a few to share.

Rollin' rollin' rollin'...

A big acclompishment - we found Drew like this in his crib after a nap today. Of course, he was placed in there on his back but rolled on over to his tummy at some point. Our baby is getting so strong!

I'm a smart boy...

As you can see from the pictures, Drew has learned that there is more finger to suck when he uses his index or middle finger (or both!) instead of his thumb. Actually, these days he would prefer his whole hand in there (which I am afraid is a sign that his teeth are well on their way!) Drew had a great weekend with his MeeMa - she watched him so we could go see Wake Forest beat up on the Blue Devils. He's just starting to replenish all that good sugar that she stole from him all weekend!

Jumper-Drew & a snow surprise

Drew tried out his Jumperoo for the first time and seemed to like it! We've almost decided to move the sofas out of the living room to make room for his ever-expanding entertainment options. =)

Also, we had an unexpected snow here today - 2 inches of fun!

It's a good day

Daddy and Drew let Mommy sleep in until 9:15 today!!!! It has been months (feels like years) since that has happened. Yay! Definitely worth a mention on Drew's blog! =)

Getting bigger and stronger...

Unfortunately we had to make a surprise doctor's visit today thanks to a cough and a worried new mommy (everything is OK though - just gotta work through these new day care cruds!). But we learned that Drew is now 17 pounds, 12 ounces. The nurse was shocked how big he was - he has nearly doubled his size in 3 months! He's getting stronger every day - here are some pics with him pushing that head up. He'll be crawling in no time - he's growing so fast!!

11 weeks

Welcome!

Welcome to Mommy's newest obsession! Hopefully this is a way we can post new pictures and share milestones with our family and friends about our beautiful baby boy. I'll try to post as frequently as I can.

11 weeks - Drew has been in day care for a couple of weeks now. His teachers seem great, and he has already started fingerpainting and learning sign language! Everytime we go to pick him up he is just staring at all the "big babies" playing and seems fascinated.

He is sleeping much better now (when he doesn't have a cold) - sometimes 10 or more hours a night! (yayyyyyy!!!) And he's soooo big - around 17 pounds. He's becoming quite the smiley boy - it doesn't take much for you to win a smile from him these days. And his big thing this week is that he learned that when he kicks the bottom of his bouncy seat, it makes the lights flash and the music play - he totally entertains himself and just kicks away! Hopefully soon we'll figure out how to post videos!
