Our family has grown!
She is finally here and our little family is now complete! Eliza Grace Davis was born on 2am on Thursday, 12-31-09 - a New Years Eve and blue moon baby! She weighed in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. Delivery was much different this time - it involved a frantic hospital trip with various traffic violations, the experience of bad contractions without an epidural (don't worry - I finally got it and I literally could have kissed that doctor at the time!), and finally three pushes and out she came. Much different than the 28 hour labor with Drew! We were able to come home to meet big brother on Saturday evening. The meeting has gone well - Drew is very interested in his baby sister but he is definitely having an adjustment period like the rest of us. Eliza is doing great! Her weight had dropped to 7 pounds, 13 ounces, but I think now we are on the upswing with that and she is starting to start eating more and more now. She sleeps a lot now (except when you want her to of course!), but she is starting to open her eyes more and more to learn about her new world.
She's here and perfect!
Proud Mommy and Daddy.
Proud Meema, Nana and Aunt Sistah
We're home!!!
Drew finally meets this "baby sister" he's been hearing so much about
I will try to update soon with some open-eyed pictures!

Christmas 2009
We were able to celebrate a nice Christmas in Winston-Salem this year. Thank you to all of our family who made the drive to us, since I was too pregnant to make the drive to see all of you elsewhere this year.
Merry Christmas!
For meeeee????
Santa, or "HoHoHo" came to see Drew this year and brought him some "hoho presents". Look at what Santa brought!! Drew must have been a good boy this year - he got a play kitchen, a guitar, his "choo-choo" movie, some clothes, and some coloring books and crayons!
Drew boils up some peas
Drew and Mommy sing and strum on the guitar
Drew eats with his cousins Nicholas and MiMi at Meema's house.
The "kids" table is always more fun!
Drew, Nicholas and MiMi sing Christmas songs in their new microphones.
Both kids and adults enjoy Meema's camp.
Merry Christmas!
Snow Day
I know many of you are waiting on some updates on all of our family changes... BUT - I'm behind on posts and need to catch up first. So, here are a couple of pre-baby fun posts.... Don't worry though, baby posts will soon follow!
Here are some pictures of Drew in the snow that we had a couple of weeks ago. I think he liked to look at it through the window and talk about it more than actually being in it this year.
Drew helps Daddy shovel the sidewalk.
Why yes, those are grocery bags on his feet. You find snow boots wide enough to fit our child!

Getting ready for Christmas
It has been fun to watch Drew "discover" Christmas for the first time this year. He loves all of the Christmas lights, the tree, Santa, the "HoHoHo" presents under the tree, etc. Our Christmas tree has gotten quite a few night-night hugs. He even watched his first full movie this weekend - he was captivated by the Polar Express (between Choo-Choos and Santa we figured we couldn't go wrong with it). We drove through the Festival of Lights here in Winston and Drew didn't stop talking the whole time... "Look look look!!!!" and "cool lights".
Drew helps Meema find the "perfect" tree for her house
Brad decorated our bushes with lights and this was Drew's first time seeing them. He loves them and every time we drive up to our house he says, "Drew's lights!".
I *love* this picture that Meema snapped of Drew at her house - his expression says it all. BUSTED!

Christmas card photo shoot
Hopefully by now, Christmas cards have been received so this won't ruin anything - but just wanted to show you some "behind the scenes" shots of what it takes to get a dog and 2-year-old to take pictures together dressed in gear that they don't like wearing (the hat/antlers). Fun stuff - Brad and I enjoyed a lot of laughs throughout it!
It takes a lot of bribery to get them together!
Of course, we could get *one* of them to sit still for a second and look at the camera - the struggle was getting BOTH of them!
These are two of my favorite pictures from the day.
It's a wrap - job well done, boys.

Belated Thanksgiving post
Sorry for the delay - to say it's pretty busy around here prepping for the holidays and baby #2 is an understatement, but I do have lots of pictures to share!
We enjoyed going to Henderson on Thanksgiving then we took a trip to the beach for a long weekend. The highlight of the weekend came with the Dixie Stampede - Drew LOVED the 'horsey's and other animals and of course "HO! HO! HO!" (what he yells everytime he sees Santa). Here are some pictures from that trip:
Outdoor fun at Aunt Sistah's house:
Thanks to Drew, we watched the sun rise every morning - not something that Daddy and Mommy are used to seeing at the beach, but it was beautiful.
Daddy and Drew prepare for some Black Friday shopping at the outlets
Just chillin at the beach - you know eating grapes and watching Dora... isn't life good?
Napping - Mommy's belly makes a good pillow these days!
Beep! Beep!
I'm gonna schedule some more posts, so look for some updates in the next few days to catch everything up!

This is for you Uncle Denny & Aunt Lynda...
...and of course for all of the Jenns, Beccas and other Tigers out there as well! A couple of months ago Uncle Denny apparently taught Drew the phrase "Gooooo Tigers" (while Daddy wasn't around!). Drew will occasionally blurt this out of of nowhere - especially if football is on TV (any teams - it does not have to be Clemson). Well, he got a wonderful birthday package in the mail today from Uncle Denny and Aunt Lynda with a bright purple shirt with the phrase - you guessed it - GO TIGERS and then this bear which created the following scene:
He loves it but don't worry - he is still a Demon Deacon fan first!

Drew is two!
Drew had a big birthday weekend this weekend. On Friday, November 6th, our "baby" tunned two!! The day started out with Mommy, Daddy and Meema surprising Drew at his school. We were able to participate in circle time, show Drew's friends pictures of him, sing songs, and shared snacks with his classmates. That night we prepared for his big party the next day, but he still got his 'Choo Choo' cake then. On Saturday, many of Drew's favorite people gathered for a train party (what else?!). Thank you to everyone who made the effort and drive to help us celebrate this wonderful day! Daddy grilled out for everyone and Drew got a brand new train table which has already provided hours of entertainment for him. Here are some pictures of Drew throughout the weekend:

Daddy sat with Drew for snack time.
Drew's friends sang "Happy Birthday" to him!
Hmmmm, what is this??
CAKE!!!!! WOOOHOOO!
Drew and cousin Mimi check out his new train table. Drew said "Choo Choo" and "Cool!" at least 500 times during his party!
Finally, Mommy gets some good cuddling with her big boy at the end of a busy weekend.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREW!
